daf That God is called by many names: God, Allah, The Father, All, Tao, Great Spirit, the Path, the Flow..etc.

That God is all there is.
All things seen and unseen are what God is composed of. The living, the inanimate, matter, energy and whatever other forms there are including spirit..if spirit proves to be other
than energy.

That God is expressing itself through all things because the body, mind
and spirit of God(if there are such things) are composed of all that there is.

That God means to be expressed through human beings as well. To this end we are endowed with the ability to connect directly with God. This could be thought of as "spirit." We do not need to be "filled" with this spirit. It's always been there, buried under our material tendencies and perceptions.

That there is a hierarchy consisting of spirit, mind and body which, when functioning properly provides a perfect connection between our actions and the will of the All(ie. God.) The components
of this hierarchy function as follows: The spirit is the source of guidance..the source of decisions.
It is connected directly to God. The mind is the liaison between spirit and body. It's function is to allow
for navigation and action (through the body) in the material world. It is not to make decisions about what to do
but rather to facilitate the performance of those actions dictated to it by the spirit. It does this by using the knowledge that it has of the material world and the connection that it has with the body. The body is simply a material vessel...a suit of sorts. It provides for direct contact with the material world. Another way to look at this is..imagine that there is an engineer. That would be God. Now imagine that the engineer writes a program. That program would be the spirit. Now imagine that there is a chip with that program coded into it. That chip would be the mind. Now imagine that there is a circuit board with that chip on it which has motors, servos and relays on it which allow it to cause things to happen in the real world..say opening of doors, switching on and off of lights...etc. That would be the body. A chip which ignored the program it contained and made its own decisions would be considered faulty from the perspective of the engineer. It wouldn't matter if the incorrect function came from the chip itself or from signals it was receiving from the circuit board. Only a chip that follows the instructions of the program is functioning correctly. If the program is modified by the engineer, the chip would be expected to follow the new instructions.

I believe that the guidance of the spirit within each of us is a direct reflection of what the All wills us to do. Another way to say it is that it is a reflection of what God wishes its component parts to do. When you signal your hand to move a certain way..you expect it to move that way. We are that hand. That is the reality of what we are.

That the ego, the self...is a creation of the mind not the spirit, and in reality does not exist. Ego driven action is an attempt by the self to establish its own reality. Over time, this behavior is self-destructive in nature, because that which does not exist cannot exist..only seem to.

I believe that those minds which follow the ideas, traditions and directives given to them by men are in effect infected with faulty programming and will produce faulty results. As well, those of us who use that faulty programming to direct our course through life autonomously will likewise continue to meet with faulty results. Garbage in = Garbage out. I believe that the source of this programming was originally our animal ways (evolutionary selection) which allowed for the development of intelligence. Such programming served a purpose, but that purpose has been served and is now an antiquated hold over, propagated by society and tradition, which has become an impedance to progress.

That the key to correcting our current misorientation lies with properly following the hierarchy. Body follows the instructions of mind which follows the instruction of spirit which expresses the will of God.

That there are steps which have been discovered along the way in MANY (if not all) religious paths which aid in the process of correctly establishing the internal hierarchy. Some of these include:

a) Set intervals of fasting and or abstinence to regularly test and establish through practice, the mind's control over the body.

b) Attention to matters of conscience, which I believe is there to correct behaviors which fall outside of the spirit's intention, helping the mind to get in the practice of "feeling" the guidance of the spirit. Think of the conscience as an alarm going off to remind us of the decision we SHOULD make, the course we SHOULD take in a given situation.

c) Clearing the mind of extraneous thoughts. This to remove some of the mental "noise" which keeps the spirit from being "heard." The spirit's signal is subtle in the material "plane", strong in its own "plane." (I use plane for lack of a better word.)

d) Reduction of the focus on material things..wealth, food, sex etc. Not because these things are intrinsically "bad" or "good", but because feeling out the spirit's guidance requires the mind to become more attuned to the spiritual "plane." Being seated in a material organ, the brain, which is connected to a material organism, the body, which is immersed in a material world, creates a very strong connection in the mind with the material "plane." Severing mental attachments to and urges for these material things and actions provides a cleaner environment through which the spiritual signal can be felt.

I believe that once the hierarchy is perfectly established by a person, a different state of perception is achieved. This state of perception could be called heaven, nirvana or whatever phrase you would use to describe this "place." Perception is a function of the mind. If the mind is immersed in the material, it's perceptions will be material in nature. If the mind is immersed in the spiritual, it's perception will be spiritual in nature.

I believe that although the body and mind die upon our material deaths, the spirit is not of the material world and therefore does not die here. I am not sure if there is a death for the spirit. I suppose that it's possible. In my view we become aware of heaven through the immortal perception of spirit..hell is a return to the elements from which our material perception is formed. I believe that along with spiritual realization comes an understanding that material death is not to be feared.

I believe that death is a new beginning. Our diseased, infected, faulty minds die and we are born anew into this world. I don’t know if all of us are. I don’t know if some of us simply return to the basic elements of which we were formed. I really don’t know. But I do believe that things will get better. They have to. When you touch a flame you get burned..and then you pull your hand away. We are touching the flame right now; have been for thousands of years. We have chosen our own way. We have chosen to follow the dictates of other people, instead of the will of the All..we have chosen to ignore that which is within us. It will get worse. The flame starts as a sting, and works its way into full blown pain. We’re hurting, but it doesn’t burn enough yet for us to pull our collective hand away. But in the end, we will. We might need a little coaxing, but it’ll happen. And then? Then I believe that the process of rebirth will start to make more sense as new children are born, clean slates, into a world populated by a species that has learned its lesson. They will be surrounded by people who have begun to learn of their spirit, of their connection to the All..and they will be taught, accordingly, to stop looking outside themselves for direction. They will be taught to look within for purpose, for answers..for joy and for love. Because it’s all there waiting for us..always has been.

I believe that all that is going on today, that has gone on in the past and that will proceed from these things is part of a process. Upon successful completion of each step of the process, the entirety of the material universe comes closer to reflecting the spiritual sentience which we call God. I do believe that there is a purpose to this all and that things are proceeding naturally as they should. In other words, we'll get there.

These are the basics of what I believe to be true. They are the basics of what I believe to be the answer to the question: "why are we here?" They are the basics of what I believe to be the elementary Truth behind many human beliefs which unfortunately go awry due to the human ego's manipulation of them. I believe that behind most of our actions you will find either backward animal-like motivations or progressive spirit driven motives. It is at the crossroads of evolution that we find ourselves, and it is at this juncture that we will leave behind what we were and have been up to this time..and become what the process has been leading us to become all along.
