love? fuck. it's always the same. you think it's going to be different, this girl's going to bring you every morning like it's a treasure, and fill your life with goodness you couldn't find yourself. but you move in and suddenly it seems like any love you had for her was arbitary. because neither of you can get past how the other person feeds the cat, or takes out the garbage. there are styles to taking out the garbage, and they matter a lot. love stories hinge on them actually. a lot of the subtext in some of the great love stories of our times, and their attendant great lines, is really annoyance with whether or not something was recycled.
