First Thing To Fail Is The Spring On The Scissors/Pliers Then You Loose The Toothpick And The Tweezers. Finally The Red Plastic Sides Fall Away One At A Time, The Result Of Using The Body Of The Knife For A Hammer I Suspect Seeing How The Inlayed Silver Looking Insignia Had Popped Off Long Before Without My Noticing When. But Considering All The Abuse I Heap Upon The Device It's A Darn Tough Piece Of Equipment. Still Going Strong Despite It's Present Post-Apocalyptic Appearence. I'd Be Lost Without It.

re: British Government. yeah... I was thinking of removing the pics, seeing how I don't own them any more...
My tastes have changed, nowadays I wouldn't buy a lot of the knives I own, but they're kept for the sake of it.

Bans on butterfly knives are silly. It doesn't accomplish its goal, and needlessly penalizes those who would have them for innocuous purposes like utility, novelty, collecting, or art.
Granting even that their use for utility is limited. But if the concern is the damage such a knife could do to another human being, I could do far more damage with one of those thumb flip lock blades.
Just saying.

Yes I agree. From a logical perspective there is no reason to ban one knife when there are others that could just as easily fulfill it's role.
Although I just read that ownership of a butterfly knife is not illegal in the UK. It's illegal to buy, sell, or trade them.
Unless what I read was incorrect.
