For your information,
In my place of residence, I have my own fast-speed computer, cable connected.
The e-mail account that I use is provided by my university.
I have it redirected so that I can access it at home.
So yesterday, when my "university's" server" crashed, I only couldn't access my e-mail with the university domain name.
Otherwise, everything else was fine.
I consider myself to be very fortunate, as most of my German friends do not have the luxury of "cable connections", unless they are uber-rich of course. Yes, they still live in the world of 56K.
How barbaric.
