The first time I saw her, walking into orchestra rehearsal, I admired her dress, and then her hair, and then her face. In poetry class I noticed there was something about her that wasn't so pleasant. After a while, the only conversation I'd had with her rested on complaining about mutually experienced things. By the time the concert rolled around, I looked at her and saw how she would look as an old lady. I may not have a flat stomach, but at least my hair doesn't look like it needs to be brushed every day. |
