i, for one, like the smoke-free laws. i have always considered smoke an assault. the problem is, now all of the doorways to the street, in new york, are filled with smoke. that is almost as bad as having to deal with it indoors, but not quite. what i hate particularly, is when smokers pause to light up just inside of a threshold, leaving the richest cloud of carcinogens inside, before stepping outside. that goes for the exit steps from the subway, too. being behind a smoker who does that is foul. second-hand smoke is a killer. please don't injure me with your affliction.
