Two nights ago, stricken with the destitution of insurmountable loneliness, I_cried_myself_awake. It was horrible; I felt all the awfulness of loneliness and its accompanying despair. I blathed a few things about it, but not before I uttered some vague prayers to my not-so-vague gods, prayers requesting relief from the forlorn emptiness.
Yesterday I went to a little cafe and met eight people. Feeling empowered, and vaguely aware of the supplication being presented, I took a chance and dropped by at the residence of an acquaintance, who received me mildly. While at his residence, *his* phone graced *me* with an invititation to home of another acquaintance, where some people were gathered. I was there for another eight hours, arriving home shortly before dawn.
I'm not sure why some prayers (call them wishes, hopes, et cetera) go unanswered while others meet with immediate response. What I do know is that my social experience yesterday defies all probability, especially given the passivity of my demeanor throughout the evening. The people came to me! This is not usually so.
Thank goodness I had the wisdom to put aside my rational skepticisms, or I'd have deflated the whole thing after the second person with a bout of cynical disdain. As it was, I remained open to the spiritual, and it kept coming and coming and coming, and today? I feel alone, but it is the 'alone' of solitude and not the 'alone' of miserable isolation.
Believe what gods you will, but please! Believe in at least a few of them!

you must be Americano, why do you call it a cell phone, the English call it a mobile, are you not speaking English or somik?
It is rude to speak in another language over the dinner table especially when you CAN speak english, all you guys ever do is argue.

it is spelt 'or' but it is said 'er' (in England anyway) maybe because the Americans designed them?
ELEVATE - we could have just added one letter (R) rather than taking out one letter (E) and adding two (OR)...... theres got to be a reason why people make things so complicated. i could never spell because it never made any sence to me.
