ACT II Scene 1 Jack is sitting at a bar drinking with members of the gang, people are dancing some innocent guy is getting beat up by one of Jack's friends, everyone clears out people are being shoved around out of control Once outside Jack has a brief conversation with a guy and they leave together In a well furnished apartment the man Jack met lays in a bed and loads a crack pipe His girlfriend sitting in a chair nearby gives him a jarring look Jack rolls across the wall out of his skull, opening things, the guy rolls his eyes The couple leaves the room, draped in a sheet to go play around Jack regains complete control and quickly pulls a case out of the closet picks up some gloves and wraps a mask over his face and draws his pistol Scene 2 A small boy in a fenced in yard a red ball tossed over the fence bounces into his arms runs around playing once again A young woman is walking past a fence holding some books in her arms, a smile on her face Jess walks to a library and visits with an elderly man walking out, hugging and waving bye Inside the library Jess is searching for books about wireless internet and different computer languages Jess looks through books and checks one out about triangulating signals with simple equipment Inside of Jess's house she sets the book down and goes the bathroom There are a row of original texts, something like Lewis Carrol Jack is walking through the front door of his parents house His mother, father, older sister all look at him but no one greets him as they get ready Jack is standing in a watery pool of blood there is a pile of debris from his room in the full bath which is draining groaning/screaming the floor behind jack is covered with debris and razor blades Scene 3 in the lab we see Jessie, Dan, Nate, and Bruce working Jess is out from her shower and has tea ready to read a book at the computer The computer sits in a chatroom filled with Jack's thoughts and interuptions from other users "why is everyone ignoring me, there is a mess in the tub, my mom will find this here" parts of his messages are encrypted. "blood is everywhere, dinner is ready" and more unreadable text the messages come in spurts then stop. In the lab monitor we see the exact same messages, nothing is encrypted "jam in razor blade" "smoke at cieling" "I'll be down for dinner" Jess reads these messages and copies the page to a computer file writes in a notebook, she is concerned about what is going on types to Jack "there is something unusual about you" "I really want to talk to you" "Do you hear me?" "Jack?" On the lab monitor we see the messages she wrote flicker up the screen through the other text, but do not remain permanent Jack is crouched next to the tub listfully mumbling to himself Everything from the chatroom and the control room is being heard by him When he hears his name he stop ranting and listens "I am Jack" "I am Jack" "I am Jack" repeats for a small burst on Jess's screen. People in the chatroom complain about these strange messages, failing to read any of them Inside of Jack's dome are hardware, black like hairclips in his brain. Looking around his room there are bugs concealed. Through the bedroom and bathroom door we hear Jack's Mom and Dad "Jack you need to go to work" "You need to get out of this house" "You cannot spend all day locked up and passed out" they are yelling Jess leans into the monitor and kisses Jack's saying "Oh poor Jack" Jack leaves the bathroom. Scene 4 In Jack's bedroom he has the bathroom in trash bags and quickly gets things ready to leave. In front of a suburban house a brown car pulls up to the yard Inside the house in a bedroom a teenager is having sex with another man Jack knows They hear a knock on the door Jack is standing on the front porch a naked girl answers the door, Jack quickly leaves Gas station, desert Indian reservation, Jack is filling up with petrol, His car faces towards the peaks of Nevada. Inside the car the radio station begins to fade, Jack searches for another station, he turns off the radio The lab is in complete chaos, "stop him" "I can't" "Don't you get it!" "I can't!" there are no signals Standing out in the desert Jack suddenly has a realization he looks up at the stars on the empty cool night In the lab we see the signal come back, however all the censors monitors are acting up "what are we going to do" The four guys rifle through their papers and scramble to recouperate the signal "But how?" "We have to get this ourselves!" "But how!" "Don't ask stupid argh!~" "Let's go" "Come on Bruce!" Scene 5 Jack is driving the car through the city nightscape. He has 20 messages. They are familiar names. "You weren't home Jack." he listens to te first message then he calls his parents. They do not answer. The computer guys are creeping up to Jack's, but Jess is standing in the front porch/yard. They hide themeselves. A large red car drives slowly by, it almost strikes the mailbox, then pulls away. Jess walks stiff legged down the block to her SUV. The CPU guys' car pulls into the driveway and the garage door opens. They steal into the basement and uncover a comparment beneath the stairs, removing the case and a nuclear device. cell phones They are loading other weaponry into their car. "It's too late" "It's too late" "keep it moving" Jess is somewhere in her SUV with a laptop on the chatroom. She is reading Jack's encryptions "doorway" "hello? mom?" "oh my god" "beleive what happened" writes to help him "Oh Jack, you are in a mess" "Please hear me, I need to help you" Jack continues "mom I love you" "I am really afraid" "I have put you in a lot of danger" "father is on the phone" copyright PWM2008
