Todd and Tyler started off their show this morning by reading over a couple of e-mails and talking a little bit about the Huskers. They then talked a little more about Cooper Dawn and the ‘’Girls of the Big 12’’ Playboy issue. Some of the ladies from the magazine are going to be at a doughnut shop signing autographs soon. TnT joked about the type of guys you’d most likely find in the autograph line, saying a majority of them will be guys who have had classes with the Playboy models anxiously awaiting the time in which they’ll actually get to talk to a female they’ve seen naked in a magazine.

Brian came in with the news even though he was pooping his guts out all morning long. Yesterday he ate an egg salad sandwich, drank a beer, and had some watermelon he’d left out for too long. The combination of the three caused anal vomiting for the already-explosive-bowelled BW. Anyway, Brian did the news and TnT commented on each story. During this time the mental image of an Ethiopian Cheetah paw Happy Meal entered the universe through an odd combination of news and TnT tangents. Those same tangents eventually led TnT into a discussion about finding Jesus at the Home Depot, as Father Bench Press would lead you to believe according to his new TV commercial. Roofer jokes flew as TnT Latino’ed up the Lord and pictured him having troubles holding onto roofing nails.

After the news, Slave Boy Jeremy came in studio for a couple of minutes. TnT expressed their disappointment in not being able to live vicariously through Jeremy, as one of their only single guy friends, because he has absolutely no game whatsoever. Jeremy didn’t have much to say in defense of himself and only helped to further TnT’s disappointment by stating that it has been months since he’s laid the wood to anyone. TnT attempted to live vicariously through Brian but because BW’s so tight-lipped about his new lady friend, the guys have found that to be just as frustrating as living vicariously through Slave Boy Jeremy.

Travis came in with the sports report later in the show. Before he began, Tyler mentioned that he had heard the 42 sports guy on a Husker talk radio show talking about how he got all teary-eyed during Saturday’s Husker game. Everyone got a kick out of that because they all know that 42’s sports guy isn’t from here and would have no reason to tear up when hearing the tunnel song. To them, it was all a transparent ploy to suck Husker fan ass. Several verbal jabs were taken during Trav’s sports report that would leave on to assume Attaboy doesn’t get along well with the bouncy sports dork they were discussing.

Due to the fact that Travis is not working Monday nights during the football season, he’s had to push back his ‘’For What It’s Worth’’ segment one day. TnT asked Trav about what he would be covering but aside from mentioning the Royals, he didn’t give any info up. Check out KM3’s 10pm news for Travis’s ‘’For What It’s Worth’’ segment tonight and rejoin TnT tomorrow morning, where Trav will share his comments once again.

Larry the Cable guy checked in today and delivered a commentary on how Europe doesn’t seem to want to back the US in toppling Saddam Hussein. He also spent some time talking with TnT about the upcoming ‘’Blue Collar Tour’’ movie, which is supposed to be released in October but may get pushed back until next year so the studio can raise more money to promote the film. Larry restated that the movie scored an 87 out of 100 when shown to a test audience, something he has repeated in each of his last few calls to TnT. They poked a little fun at him for whoring out his movie so much and then moved on.

There was more talk this morning of Cooper Dawn, the UNL student who posed for Playboy and is featured in the October issue’s ‘’Girls of the Big 12’’ section. The guys haven’t heard anything back from her so-called manager yet and assumed that interviewing her, much like interviewing a dirty sock, probably wouldn’t make for incredibly stimulating conversation anyway. During their discussion, TnT visited the Playboy web site and read a quote or two from Cooper. One of her quotes left TnT feeling a bit left out. ‘’There are people playing sexy drinking games, stripping and walking around the parking lot half-naked.’’ They’ve never seen sexy drinking games or naked blue hairs wondering the tailgating areas on game day. The guys suspected that the quotes could have been manufactured by someone at Playboy to make the university sound sexier.

Brian came in with the e-news later in the show. During that segment, Todd seemed to have had enough of this morning’s show. He gave the impression that he was not happy with the way the show had gone thus far and said that if Tyler hadn’t kept upbeat, today’s show would have been a complete wash. From there, the subject twisted once again and the guys ended up talking about being the only shinless show on the radio. Some things just aren’t explainable in text so listen all day, every day. The gang wrapped up the e-news by reading another installment of the Nebraska Sex Offender registry.

Towards the end of the show, Todd and Tyler spoke to comedian/actor Harlan Williams. He’s coming to town for a special engagement at the Funny Bone on September 4th & 5th. To begin the conversation, TnT talked with Harlan about ‘’The Whole 9 Yards,’’ which he was in with Bruce Willis. They then moved on to talk about his short stay on ‘’The Gina Davis Show’’ before delving into the projects he’s recently been involved in that have kept him away from Omaha for so long. Tyler mentioned that he saw Harlan on the Carson Daly show talking about his ritual for retiring old boots. Harlan retold the story for TnT’s listeners. Before ending the call, Harlan told TnT about how he just finished filming a movie with Rodney Dangerfield called, ‘’Back By Midnight,’’ which sounds pretty funny. Call the Bone Phone at 493-8036 for reservations.

Dr. Ed will be joining Todd and Tyler tomorrow for another ‘’We’ll save you a co-payment’’ show. Make sure you’ve got your medically related questions ready for Doc Ed in the 7 o’clock hour. That’s it for today’s update. You can catch the 3rd Shift Replay of this morning’s show tonight at 10pm and make sure to rejoin TnT tomorrow morning at 5:30am for the Wednesday edition of their program. Thanks for watching. Good night.
