the blather journey book, which came with much pomp and circumstance from mahayana and was in our loving possession for several days, is presently on route with a hopeful blessing from sabbie's magic wand to little wonder in minnesota.
we took it with us to frick hospital in mt. pleasant, pennsylvania and worked on
it at the bedside of our dying, dear friend. it served to comfort all of us as he escaped suffering and passed on to freedom.
fyn gula and i did some cut and paste, farmfish drew a fishboy comic, and
anne and joe's baby lilly put a painting in along with poetry. we also did some design work on the front and back covers which can be added to by future collaboraters.
it was a consummate experience. next to actually meeting a blatherskite in person, it was the ultimate act of blather participation. we all feel a tingling sense of honour and priviledge to give our permanent gifts to this project and as each one of you on the participation list receive it, you will discover what i mean. i think we all long for connection and unity and that's one of the reasons we all write at blather, for the sense of community and friendship we feel. yet, observing it through the tangible, the ink, the imagery, paint and glue, fragrance...it will strike inner chords you did not realize you possessed.
some of you must wait long and hard to get it sent to you, but you are the fortunate ones because there will be more treasure to delight in.
