i keep a rainforest in the back of my mind volcanoes (psychological landscape) quiet periods offset with outburst that can, by turns, be destructive, creative (or both) a manic place of jagged rocks and fertile plains which seems at any moment as if it might sink into the ocean i live in a desert, but sometimes i feel like an island (although the old adage says that no man is such unto himself) |
