Zern's Farmer's Market
There is a sign on Route 100 listing it as an attraction, but any one who's been there can tell you it's not very attractive at all. The old stucco building sits very firmly on the Gilbertsville side of the bridge... it is something like a monument to everything this town is. From the air it looks like a cross. Inside, though, is chaos. The cement floor is covered in old dark stains. What they are I do not know, and I don't think I want to really. There are people every where, after all when a place is only open Friday & Saturday you'd better be there. And why not? Zern's has everything: candy and peanuts, fresh meat, fruit and vegtables, bakeries, video stores and comic books, games, tee shirts, ice cream, even a barber shop. You name it you can find it here. So what if it takes you all day wondering the stalls hunting for that precious find... that's what Zern's is for.
