building up the mountains to circles their summits, dancing in the mouths of dormant volcanoes and sleeping entwined beneath the stars wondering where honour begins and friendship ends. "all it takes is music" she whispers "then everything will change" the raindrops beat against the tent and somewhere someone was playing a guitar, the rythms collided and one world formed between. "and when it changes it will be like it was, only different, like the stars after a month of overcast" in the morning they woke in the middle of a mist covered mountain, the rain had left late in the night, though its essense remained. "hours, really, don't mean a thing. i try to forget that you'll be leaving soon, but its always there." slowly the sun pierced the clouds, dissapating the fog leaving the world naked and calm. "when we return we'll know what this is. everything will change, but our hearts will still beat and our eyes will still blink, our chests rising with air as we breath." a different location, warm humid nights spent lying in the wake of the fan, days wandering the trails and stands, afternoons apart and longing. "we'll swim again, among the stars, and then after we master that we can dance our way to ireland." the garden still grows, tempting its bounds and striving for the less fertile ground beyond the nets, its produce tastes of new life. "holding hands at last, i don't miss you anymore, now that you're here." the sun sets and the stars come out, hanging in their balance millions of years apart, singing to each other, though no sound travels through space, preparing to explode when their lonely thoughts become to much. "the river flows to the sea through the lakes, you've probably drank water that came this way before, though its a long way off." she smiled at the stars and looked over. he was lost in infinity, his love flowing through his hand to her heart. "you know," he said "when you speak i'm lost in what lays behind the words, even if i can't remember the words themselves the meaning remains." he smiled shifting his gaze to her eyes, hoping and holding on.
