apparently the little nursery crate my friend created when his cat had kittens has now become the home of the kitten wrestling federation in my apartment.
just as Tonya and Shadow used to like to pick 3:30 in the morning to alternately beat each other up and tear-ass around my old place, Spooky's 3-week old babies have decided that 3:30 in the morning is a good time to have a five-kitten free for all inside their little enclosure and it is not conducive to sleep for me or for Spooky
i've got two, maybe three given away in advance, but that still leaves the remainder of the litter for me to try and get adopted out

yeah, course it doesn't help when i adopt one and she turns all stealth-bomber on me and happens to be carrying 5 more at the time and was just waiting to deploy them
while i live in the apt. 3 is my limit...(two is the actual limit set by the complex rules, but barring closer inspection, they look enough alike for me to get away with it)
meanwhile, only reason i took Spooky in was to get her out of the summer heat, but now i'm attached, so i'm stuck with her...
most adult cats i've ever had in one place was 7 back in the house where i grew up, we lived in a neighborhood on the rural edge of Phoenix surrounded by cotton and alfalfa fields, so there were always field-mice and gophers running around and there was always a need for a few cats to keep down the rodents...
kittens and black cats are my kryptonite, man...damned if i can explain it.
