i had a dream. i saw a black rabbit. no flesh covered its skull. the bare white bone was exposed, with scarlet seepage near the eyesockets. it shrieked and convulsed madly inside a too-small pen lined with white paper. every time the rabbit moved, it left bright red smudges on the walls. i reached down to touch the rabbit, but it gashed my hand. it stopped shuddering, looked me dead in the eye, and spoke... "eighty-eight from outer space." |
