she's not picture perfect and she's not who they want so she takes her shiny hair and she hangs it just right, only to taunt those who would normally shrug her off or toss her to the curb. but she doesn't give up without a fight. back and forth, shampoo conditioner, rinse and repeat.
then one day she learned to be someone without tossing her hair and now she'll never be the same. instead she can be sharp or sarcastic, playful and teasing, but mostly opinionated and certain of who she is. or less she pretends to be as certain.
fake it until you make it.
at the least, i save myself the time of blow dryers, straighteners, hair products and other useless crap. i just hop out of the shower and let the wind blow it dry. the only time i toss my hair nowadays is when i turn the corner and accidently let it knock into that dumbass i used to want to impress in the hallway.
some things in life are terrifically freeing.
