Ok. When people ask the hypothetical question "if you had one wish, what would it be?", saying you would wish for more wishes is just... well... lame. I think the whole point of the question (at least when I ask it) is to learn more about somebody, learn about their desires, or just have some sort of conversation which sprouts from their answer. I am not an advocate of the "clever" "i would wish for more wishes" because everyone and their mom WOULD wish for more wishes if they COULD....but...answering this hypothetical question with "more wishes" does not carry a conversation well, says very little about you, and is just a boring uncreative answer. Its a given. YEAH, more wishes, that would be nice, but what would you wish for after that? what is the point of wishes if they are baseless and unfulfilled....? ....it was just on my mind. Its the same for "if you were trapped on a desert island and you could only bring with/have three things with you, what would they be?" and saying you would want to take with shit like matches and drinking water. Duh. Its practical. but the question is NOT practical. Its based on fuckign fantasy, so have fun with it and answer with something that has sentimental value...or thought behind it...or SOMETHING. the obvious doesn't often say much.

When someone says they would wish for more wishes, you learn plenty about them: They are greedy.

is they say "more wishes", just ask what they would wish for if that request was denied, presuming the genie didn't just slap em, say "do you have any idea how many times i hear that", and disappear. I'd wish to know what I would have wished for, had I not wished that.
