i space out all day long, but usually i eventually find out i was doing it for some kind of higher purpose, and it couldn't really be termed self-involvement at all. thankfully i do get at least some of my projects addressed so there's a sort of dynamic integrative and multitasking component to these "wasted" days. i bet, though, an observer would call these type of days a bust.... and what other people think can matter, although i seem to think it would be more accurate to replace their opinion with my more well- and self- informed one. a battle to fight unendingly. (and one can't always have everything) but anyway, you just gotta be cool. which you (pl.) are, of course, and ad infinitumly.
