z in a friendly conversation with a spiritual person i said: "i do not believe in god", to which he responded "so you don't believe in anything?". this is a question which has been asked of me for most of my life. i find it offensive, even though i know it is usually asked innocently. i have begun to respond by saying "actually, i believe in everything, i just don't need an excuse to do so." bias is bias after all. 110201

unhinged faith doesn't need some made up higher power

faith_vs_religion ?

me and my sister had an interesting conversation on her birthday recently that shocked me considering she went to catholic school most of her life. she told me she didn't believe in god. i don't either *shrugs*

'or your buddha for that matter'

'well buddhists don't think buddha is a higher power allison. we just think that he was a normal human being that made some awesome realizations from sitting in one place for awhile'

'well that's cool then'

who would've thought; my sister the atheist
