the awful truth
|
when i'm going out to the evening grab a jacket and scarf cause its freezing. hop the iron horse to the village want a drink, but i'm broke, so i steal it want a smoke, but i'm out, so i bum it want a girl but i'm dumb so i lose it. want to get high, sit on a rooftop with a lady, watching the sun drop when it's setting, oh, when it's setting thats when i know that i'm home. when i'm going out to the city flying faster, the lights are so pretty dodging taxis, drivers are screaming shouting insults without any meaning. hopping curbs and running red lights hold the brakes for watching the street fights when i'm going out to the city flying fast on my bike, i'm so dizzy. when i'm going home in the morning climbing up stairs, it starts storming. lying down and my head is spinning watching raindrops on my window. when i'm going to sleep in the evening i pull the blankets up cause its freezing when i'm sleeping, oh when im sleeping you know that i'm afraid to dream.
