What you were missing was the fact that I really did care. I know I wasn’t there to dream the dream along side you. That, to me, was a reward for a job well done. I didn’t have the right to enjoy those moments, until I had earned them. I felt as if I hadn’t yet. And when I finally got the chance, it was over. |
