It has a video tape of a really pretty woman singing this: Smile, though your heart is aching Smile, even though it's breaking When there are clouds in the sky You'll get by... If you smile With your fear and sorrow Smile and maybe tomorrow You'll find that life is still worthwhile if you'll just... Light up your face with gladness Hide every trace of sadness Although a tear may be ever so near That's the time you must keep on trying Smile, what's the use of crying You'll find that life is still worthwhile If you'll just... Smile, though your heart is aching Smile, even though it's breaking When there are clouds in the sky You'll get by... If you smile Through your fear and sorrow Smile and maybe tomorrow You'll find that life is still worthwhile If you'll just Smile... That's the time you must keep on trying Smile, what's the use of crying You'll find that life is still worthwhile If you'll just Smile. If somebody knows-please tell me...it's really bothering me that I can't think of it...

The movie I was thinking about was My Girl 2. It isn't on the soundtrack...that's the version that I wanted too. Damn. Thanks for you help, though.

Right-My Girl 2 wasn't something I'd like to watch over and over again... But the song...that was the highlight of the movie for sure...

I knew what the song was. It's actually the theme to "Modern Times" which, I believe, is from '39. It's a well-known song in general. I just couldn't remember where I heard it...
