not very creative, i know...but check out my list of costume recommendations:
black eyed pea - a big P on ur shirt and give yourself a (cosmetic) black eye
devil horns and white shirt with yellow splotch: deviled egg or ....devil in a blue dress (self-explanatory)
a gumball machine - clear plastic bag and lots of little blown up baloons, floor-length red skirt, red cap...or you could be a bunch of grapes and pin lots of green or purple balloons to yourself... not the best for mobility
a crayon - cut out the letters to spell crayola and pin them to a monochromatic sweatsuit...construction paper hat/tip
baked potato in foil - haha
oscar the grouch - cut a hole in the bottom of the trash can, stand in it and pull it up...punch a few holes in the rim for some cord in a criss-cross or overalls pattern...it'd be kinda hard to make the lid a hat but it can be done... green pants, fuzzy fake-mustache eyebrows...some trash to throw at people.
bubblegum stuck to a shoe - dress in pink or winterfresh green, attach shoe to your head...
chick magnet - find a chicken-beak-nose (party supply stores) - dress in yellow, attach various metal things to yourself
cloudy with a chance of rain - wear all gray, attach some cotton ball puffs in clumps, carry a squirt bottle. when someone asks what you are, squirt them and say "cloudy with a chance of rain"
anti-morning - bathrobe, slippers, clay facial masque & curlers. carry coffee mug (haha day long facial - your face will thank you)

im going to be the sign guy. there's this guy who stands on our corners all over the place and holds up white signs with black writing. they always have great things on him. he's really awesome. im collecting all his quotes so i can post them on blather sometime. right now he's right by my school. he stays at peoples houses. . . just going from house to house. he even visited zeners class to talk to the students. i think he rocks. . .other people think he's crazy. i think he belongs on blather. im going to be the sign guy and walk around with a sign that says, "why am i asking all of your questions?" (one of his signs) and wear a hat and old clothes. im way stoked. you really have to live around here to know how great he is.

for this past halloween, my two friends and i were the three blind mice. we had tails, ears, sunglasses, and white-tipped canes. oh and one of my other friends was the butcher (complete with a homemade cardboard cleaver). what amazed me was that there were enough sober people on franklin st to recognize what we were.
next halloween, my best friend and i are going to go as twins. it's the perfect costume, because strangers ask if we are sisters, our friends say we look alike, people get our names mixed up, and we act so much alike that it's scary. my own mother actually thought kristina was me. we like to say we are interchangable.
