dafremen And why shouldn't I scrutinize my every word? Not for the purpose of editing, no not those words, but MY words with their raw and wounded ways. How better to know the nature of my starving soul? How better to know what this twisted conditioning has me becoming than to read the self-justified slide down the throat of the Beast that is my own succumbing to this sleep-walking madness that surrounds me.

Welcome to blather. Look around. Read your own words first.

Welcome to Babylon...and on...and on...

It was the ultimate achievement of human will forced upon it's environment at the time. The mighty Tower of Babel was raised as a monument to a race that still enjoyed unity as a race, but had chosen together to walk off the Path that had kept them united.

Then came the fall of Babylon. The scattering of it's people into their many races and tongues. But the story isn't about a jealous God, nor is it just a mythological attempt at explaining the differences in race and language. No, the story of the Tower of Babel is also a story of division and human ego.

The "tongues" are the wills of the people. At one time, the people were of one will, they understood harmony, cooperation and they worked in unison. It's all they knew, it is the nature of the Word/Path/Way. It is the synchronicity with which the trees change colors and the geese fly off, without a squabble in perfect "V" formation.

But the ego is of the dirt. It is matter and matter consumes. And so the ego was not satisfied with the comparison of man to God. A comparision was also necessary between men.

Divided one against they other, they proudly promoted their own tongues, their own customs, their own ways and railed against those that differed, deepening divisions. "Division" from the Creation, to a "divided" society, "divided" tribes and "divided" families.

The fall of Babylon, the scattering of its people to the four winds came about not because of the wrath of God, but because of the pride of human egos.

dandy little reported were the secret meeting of those humble trembling Romeos and Juliets, Lailas and Majnuns who illicittedly met tracing the pherenomes of their beloveds on the wind that could not keep their desires from spilling into the song of birds and the drumwork of rain in the trees. their message that crosses any boundaries of language could not be dispersed to weaken it for the diapora of passion only rations the world to be a little drunk instead of fully mad, loosening the lips of people who would hold them back with scorn and scoff, softening their blows to pats as their turn their faces away in tears knowing that there is nothing that can forever divert the coursing pulse of true selfless love. 050306

oblique It's everywhere now.
Everywhere here anyway.
Sex and money.
As far as the eye can see.

Maybe it's better being blind.
