I have these two friends who are a couple. In that they refer to each other as boyfriend and girlfriend. But they don't seem to like each other very much. When they are out in company, they don't ever sit together, or talk to each other, or hold hands, or even look at each other, really. I know they must be different when they are alone together, and I know that a lack of public declarations of affection doesn't necessarily say anything about how they feel about each other. But it just seems a little strange, from the outside.

Why should I demand that people act the way I expect them to anyway? All I ask is that they try to be happy. It just doesn't seem that they are. But there's nothing I can do to help them, appart from simply contiune to be a friend.
