dafremen B.Cupler and R.Dafremen

Lays her head against her suitcase
Buttons up against the cold
Can't stand the pressure of the dismal
all around
Can't stand them all
When another rolls off
Oh she laughs "It's sad.
That's all that ever come.
With a little missing
they'll go home."

But she will never go
home..no
Got a ticket in their pockets baby
headed home.

It's not that far from the trestle
It's not that far from the cold
Winds are swearing at the distant ghosts
Ghosts never listen
Still she talks and says to them
"Well? Come,let's dance
now that you're gone."
Come the engine's whistle
it blows: "Home! Home!"

But she will never go
home
She can't stand the pressure
but can't stop hearing "home"

Gives a startled laugh and then
She gets on the road home
She gets on the road home

(break)

Hooome
is an almost endless road

Got a ticket in her pocket baby
Taking her all the way, a long way
to where she wouldn't go
And then she's calling on the phone
home
Lit a cigarette

(mini break)

Another cigarette
and a ticket in her pocket baby..ohh
home.

daf Anyone interested in hearing a preliminary version of this song can find it at:

http://www.fileden.com/files/2010/4/18/2832155/Ticket%20In%20Her%20Pocket.mp3

We're planning on re-recording it. The timing's off in some parts, the digital recorder introduced a skip or two toward the end and the main guitar tends to distort a bit because it had too much bass. It still sounds pretty good tho.

Hope you enjoy.
