i said there were just things

I’m really just doing this to try to type with one of these things.
I don’t know if I’ll ever really have to use one of these on my lap or what.
Anyway, I guess that if learned something today and I did, is that people are fucked up. I watched my boss practically lose it on this one co-worker and let me say it wasn’t pretty. As it turns out this co-worker had been away on vacation for a month which I think was very deserving (she’s been working there for over two years and never taken a break, to top it off her father had recently passed the way). Well, the thing is that while she was away some of the people that work there though that she wasn’t doing her job properly and blamed a few things on her. Things really got messed up when she was talking to the owner of the place about some of those problems. Though I never really herd her ask for a race, I did hear my boss shout that “you of all people should not ask me for anything right now, you are so comfortable and I know when I can rise your salary, I got no money!!” well, then she went on to tell her to be quiet and stop complaining about other people’s mistakes (which are abundant) and that if she didn’t like how things were, that she could be replaced and that in fact, she could hand in her resignation. In my opinion she practically fired the poor woman.
For the record I should append that Ms. Y (my co-worker) is a single mom of two, works two jobs to support her family and whose husband is also deceased. All of these things are of course evident to everyone who works there, including my boss, also a mother.
Wow, I though this was extremely fucked up.
I had never seen my boss, whom appears as one of the nicest people most of the time, behave and say some of the shit she said today. I am freak out and weary about the future of the office, it seems that a certain harmony has been broken and quite frankly I do not feel safe there anymore, or confident that I want to continue to work for a person like that. I mean everyone is entitled to freak out at one point or another but shit man, did she really have to yell at her in front of her co-workers, practically fire her like that and humiliate her? Fuck me but I think that was so fucking unprofessional. And while I understand my boss’s frustration with all the shit that is happening at the moment, I don’t believe that is an excuse to treat some one that has worked for you so long with such inconsideration.
I understand Ms. Y’s situation and for that reason I don’t think that she’ll quit immediately, however I think it will be sooner than later, which is fucked because the other one person who can do her job is planning to leave soon and then the only other person that can do her job, me, is thinking of leaving very soon, as soon as I find another job, which I am looking for as I write all this shit, so we’re talking weeks here if the gods are kind to me.
Well, I think that we all should be a bit more humble at times and that definitely goes for my boss. I hope that shit doesn’t turn to …err.. more shit too soon and that I find something soon.
I guess I can write on of one this things after all. Not bad.
