it's stuck in the back of my throat, and only the faintest bit of watering in my eyes. i just want to cry to make it go away. occasionally an echo of my mom's voice chimes in, a question stated with utter disgust and contempt: "why are you crying?" i'm not, mom. and when you came to me crying, i followed your example. but this doesn't have to do with that so much. when i think about my problems/concerns/memories, i just shrug my shoulders these days. my new favorite expression is "we're all going to die some day." it seems out of order at times but it's not really. it's similar to "whatever will be will be" or "it'll all work out in the end"

we kill the romantics in decadence, but a few of us live singing to the stars as we pass through the experimental farm at night alone and cold smiling and happy filled with joy and love and pain as the stars try to shine down on us.... the tears sting as they refuse to fall and the summer has ended about a month early, standing huddled in our longsleeved shirts and long pants in the cool winds fit not for mid august but late sepetmeber we look at eachother and nod, you turning your way i, watching you go. the time to part has come, it has been fun while it lasted, everything fairly random, i still don't understand how we are such good friends but its best if i dont try to understand and just let the truth of it flow over me as i watch you go to fly away out east and the rest will come back but you will be gone.

there is modern romance, it's over the Internet. But I think the people who do the internet best, do internet romance the worst (I almost wrote worm-ance. What the hell, fingers?) A guy in the church I grew up in just got married to a Filipina woman he met over the Internet. He was in danger of being a bachelor for life. Millionaire (builder) with no social skills, who looks like he dresses in the dark. But he met this woman, and his world is upside down now. I wish I could have come to the wedding.

romance is dead like the grit beneath our feat and the air in my chest.
