after i recovered from my surprise that blatherskites hadn't started playing this yet, i figured, why not start now? here's how it works. 1. someone starts with a sentence that includes a non-palindromic number. it is preferable that the sentence involve either larceny or contraband. 2. the next person forges a new sentence, incorporating some (but not all) of the previous words in a new manner, being sure to pallap* the number, and use that instead. the game ends when the number reaches a palindrome. * pallap = sum of a number and its numeric palindrome; i.e. 415+514 = 929. example: skite A: "Last night I had 19 peaches for dinner." skite B: "I heard that 110 apricots were stolen last night from the supermarket." [[ 110 = 19 + 91 ]] skite C: "Was it the supermarket located at 121 Apple Street?" [[ 121 = 110 + 011 ]] skite D: "This game totally sucks." admittedly, it's not a very fun game, but we'd better start playing it anyway. i'll lead with this: "Knut, pedagogue of bizzility, has 79 pairs of boots, which he likes to wear when tripping on LSD."

By the_way, the fairies pour exactly 7546 gallons of caramel over the_moon, which wouldn't amount to much in relation to_the actual size of the satelite, but hey, these are LSD trips.

Curiously, Knut's hypothalamus is 14,003 times larger than the sum of all LSD injested by Knut thus far. This is a fixed ratio; the more LSD Knut ingests, the larger his hypothalamus becomes. Soon it will be larger than a caramel_fairy, and the color of a caramel_latte. Way_to_go, Knut!

Knut, having spent too much money on LSD, was forced to purchase a bargain-basement house. He paid $44,044... just like you probably guessed.

The boozehounds, realizing that their stomaches were reacting to the disagreeable collectivity of vegetables they had irresponsibly digested with unspeakable insatiability, decided to drink 747 bottles of Pepto Bismol to help ease their digestive systems.

I was literally just about to mention that, Strideo. You confused the hell out of me, because (trust me) I chose to use jane's blathe to test whether I 'got' it or not. I was sure I did, but then you figure didn't match. Unfortunately, by some as-yet-unexplained feat of chemicotemporophysiconumerologimatics, the effect of drinking exactly that number of bottles caused the group to time travel to the year 1494, which was a common year starting on a Wednesday.

I have heard that 196 is the first number that no matter how many times you calculate the pallaps no palindrome has been found. "196 is the first number for which no palindrome has been found. It is not proven though, that there is no such a palindrome." http://tinyurl.com/25rsu2 Charlie Chad Charlseton was smuggling 155 small baggies of highly powerful catnip into the southerly state of Florida. ...

that's quite possible... once into the thousands, there are quite a few. 89+98 takes 26 steps before palindroming, for instance. THANK YOU FOR NOT USING 196, FRIEND.
