A man who was easily angered, after many years, realized that he had suffered greatly throughout his life because of this issue. So he sought out a dervish of very great wisdom and told him of his concern. The dervish instructed him to go to a certain crossroad near a withered tree, with a large jar of water and a dipper, and there offer free water to the travelers as they passed. The man did as he was told and for many days, he would walk to the spot and give out water to the people passing by. One day a man walked past, turning his headed the other way as the man started to offer him water. So the man insisted: "Friend, friend! Won't you refresh yourself from this heat with some water? There is no fee, only God's pleasure." The man ignored him and kept walking. This angered the water boy, so he grabbed his pistol and shot the rude traveler dead. Suddenly the withered tree came to lif and bloomed. You see, the rude man was a murderer who wass on his way to commit his most heinous crime yet. Now some storytellers equate this with the fact that God only cares about justice, not morality. And some will say this means it's ok to be angry, because anger is part of the plan and has its place. What I took away from it was a bit of both, which mostly boiled down to this: It was both of the men who hadn't fixed themselves spiritually, who had karma coming.
