i was at the Big Mall today, with no expressed purpose, but it ended up that i did a psychosocial evaluation (i can be pretty vain) of the disney store. i actually love to do that. as usual there was REALLY bad news, and good news, and i'm still not actually a fan.
also i was at Eddie Bauer (est 1920) - a former place of employment. there was a long line at the checkout because everybody doesn't have their rewards cards and so she offers to look everyone up on the archaic computer system. i was near the line looking at sweaters. there was two dollars on the ground. a woman spotted the two bills and asked whose they were. none of the tall guys in the vicinity answered. she picked them up, and I said, "well, that's Eddie Bauer for you"
meanwhile, in other parts of the store, people were thinking about how much they still miss the "home store" component of Eddie Bauer. i had noticed that they had scored a particularly unfortunate brand-new next door neighbor. seriously, i can't even remember the names of some of these new stores.
but remind me NOT to get any True Religion Buddha jeans. i just know for sure that that one can't be for me.
