it's a great book if you love beautiful prose. I feel like many readers are let down by its lack of modern day character development and relatively simple plot but if you just enjoy the use of lavishly alluring prose and loads of archaic fantasy vibes it's a good read. you even get to spend a whole day in a pigeon loft watching "the restlessness of the earth" through the eyes of a little troll named Lurulu. ... |
