i can understand how the book seemed lacking. because his life seemed totally miserable and then things just clear up in the last chapter. i felt as though i had dragged on through miserable pages as he goes from a somebody to a nobody on the street and then left hanging. regardless, it is marvelously written and i really enjoyed the characters, the plot, the randomness of things, etc. it's just the ending left me hanging, though, i suppose, it was entirely intentional on the authors part, in which case, i like it.
oh and birdmad is funny. with his autobiography nonsense.
