The tragic circumstance
Of my demise:
Steeped in unhappiness
Strangled by loneliness
Until the day I died.
And I believed at first
Until I almost couldn't stop believing.
Until I'd seen the worst
But didn't mind what I was seeing
Can you believe I couldn't stop believing?
These are the rules were told
That since the days of old
Come crashing crashing through our lives.
Those that obey are free
Don't, and you'll cease to be
"It's simple boy. Now get in line!"
And I obeyed at first
Until I almost didn't stop obeying.
Until I'd done the worst
And didn't mind what I was doing
(I erased and wrote that line
3 separate times before I died)
