perfectly_chaotic Ever read "The Approximate Size of My Favorite Tumor" or "What it Means to Say Phoenix, AZ"? I sometimes struggle to appreciate his poetry, but I do love to read Sherman Alexie's fiction. 110704

perfectly_chaotic I am suddenly reminded of the movie "Smoke_Signals". 110704

re_alisma I've only read a few Stranger articles by Sherman Alexie. I had seen this movie, The Business of Fancydancing, once upon a time and had thought of it, for whatever reason, today.

true story, though: my mother used to work in the nurseries of two hospitals, Sherman and St. Alexius. In honor of this, I had bought her 3 Sherman Alexie books for Christmas. However, it gets complicated: Scout the cat, in his pissing phase, went and ruined two of them. We still have Indian Killer, and neither of us have read it yet.

perfectly_chaotic The movie Smoke_Signals is actually based on his short story "What It Means To Say Phoenix, AZ". Sorry to hear about the unfortunate "accident". 110704
