stork daddy i think there's something more honest about the perspective teenagers tend to take on their given society. they're still set apart from it in some way, they haven't taken part in it enough yet, or had enough choices to really feel complicit in all the shitty shit everywhere. so they can harp against it, decry it, say i'm not that! slowly the sins of society become our own sins though, and so we ignore them more and more, since people have a tendency to forget what makes them uncomfortable about themselves and remember what makes them uncomfortable about others. 050902
