birdmad for the longest time, i have been able to tolerate the cold without too much thought, even to the extremes of working in a refrigerated warehouse at 1.5°C in a t-shirt and shorts for an hour at a time when i was a kid, but lately i find myself needing to bundle up even though this winter has been milder than most.

The February weather here has been what you'd expect of mid-April in other places

but even through my clothes i feel cold and exposed and i don't even have the sort of fever that would cause it.

white_wave anyone would laugh if I complain of 50 degree California weather as unbearable. But sometimes the wind sends aching chills thru me. I put on my hood, and tie the sting tightly around my neck. I imagine I look like Kenny from Southpark, only i have more of my face exposed. i started thinking the other day that i need a scarf to tie around my mouth and chin, so I'd have only the essential body parts feeling cold. The nose to breath, the eyes to see. But even with a scarf i would still have a frosty nose and chilly eyeballs. 040228
