i was intrigued by dolores, how lamb basically made her come alive in this unique, almost biographical style novel. i found myself ambivalent, sometimes feeling sorry for her, how she was forced to deal with the cruelty of her father and the mental poverty of her mother. yet, i also found myself booing dolores and impatient with her selfish reactions. but overall, i ended up cheering her triumph. what about the book inspires you to consider it your favourite? |
