it was raining so hard it seemed as if everything would be erased. me and my friend went to dave and buster's, a bar which had video games, or more accurately to us, an arcade where you could drink. we found an old street fighter II machine, and played a couple of rounds. i of course chose my favorite chun li, my first exposure to a powerful androgeny. and he chose guile, the most mercenary of the bunch. after we finished he said something, "and suddenly we're kids again." and it made me palatably wish i was a kid again. of course it would be fun to know calculus in third grade, and not be intimidated by eigth grade girls, just discovering how to win at a game i'd've been playing for years. but really the main thing i'd like is to not hurt people this new time around. to understand them a little better. to know some things before it was too late.
