unrelated to the above, but scarcely 2 weeks later, i received a strange call (perhaps the strangest of my life). I was not working because my work place had been entirely destroyed at the wtc on the 11th. I was in a park in lambertville, nj on a wednesday morning at around 11 am when my cell phone rang. when i answered it, a man said hello and identified himself as agent brown of the fbi. he then told me that my mobile phone company's records indicated that i was using my phone at ground zero at the time that the second plane struck tower 2 and asked if that, indeed, was true. it was, i said, i had just self-evacuated after the first plane struck the north tower (tower 1) and took time while sheltering at the base of the south side of tower 2, to call home to say that i was out, alive and unhurt. while i was on the phone the second plane went in over my head. i had to run from falling debris, and my call was cut off at around the moment of impact. I explained all of this to agent brown, and talked a bit about what happened when tower 2 nearly fell on me. he then asked me some seemingly random questions about locals businesses and thanked me for my time. we said goodbye, and that was the last time i ever heard from him, or the fbi. that was a strange call.
