Of course, technically, that wasn't steganography, just encoding.
The cyptographic strength of steganographic images in particular has yet to be proved, it is theorised that you can detect them quite easily.
CameraShy, by hacktivismo (cDc) has been proven to have a backdoor, or at least they're not using the reported key size. (just what you'd expect from cDc, really)
S-Tools is what I use.
