sameolme I was walking on a path through the woods, leaving behind my last absurd dream episode. As I walked, I thought about what I had just been through, and
realized that it was a dream, and that I was still dreaming. Now this has always been a cue for me to wake up, and I wanted to stay in the dream. I
began to chant a mantra, hoping it would help. I don't know, it seemed like a good idea, and in fact it worked! My whole consciousness filled with the mantra, but I became dissatisfyed, thinking, "I could be doing this while awake, with my eyes closed. I should do something that's only possible in dreams." As I thought this, a glint of light caught my eye. The shimmering light came from a pile of long (6-8 foot), metal ribbons. The ribbons had the look of chrome, but the properties of spring steel. I visualized standing the ribbons upright on the palm of my hand and that they waved in the breeze making beautiful music that sounded kind of like a theremin. I walked over to the pile of ribbons, which I now saw were lying on top of a dumpster. As I tryed to gather them up, they became entangled with the trash in the dumpster. I struggled to extract them, but they began waving around wildly.
They had very sharp edges and I became afraid that I would get cut or maybe beheaded. I realized that I might not be dreaming, that I might be insane and
was attempting to due something insane, which would get me killed. So..., I walked away from the dumpster, and away from lucidity.

I could say that when I visualized the ribbons waving in the breeze, making
beautiful music, it was as real to me
as if I had "actually seen it in my dream", "as real as a dream".

sameolme I am so excited about my dream that I might not be able to get to sleep tonight.
Tomorrow, I might try bringing lucidity
into my awakened state.
