What if you couldn't have anything new for Christmas?
What if all you could get was something old? What kind of old things might you want to receive as gifts?
Guidelines:
Okay, I wont make any rules set in stone about what is "old" but perhaps anything 5 years old or older.
Please choose something realistic. A priceless artifact such as King Tutankhamun's sarcophagus or a sword used by Charlemagne aren't really what I'm looking for. Just think of something that YOU might actually want and possibly receive if you couldn't get anything new. Maybe an article of vintage clothing, an old video game console, or some old toy or nicknack.

I'd like a functioning Atari 400 console. It was the one with a built-in keyboard and four joystick ports (remember when a joystick was pretty much the primary video game "controller"). Then I could play some four player Asteroids and Star Raiders!

i asked for some old books, but my mom said she'd rather get me new ones. oh well. an old nintendo wouldn't be bad. if i had an old tv to go with it. so i could play final fantasy and dragon warrior, sans numerals.

Well, you can get some really awesome things secondhand, and you can get pretty much anything, so the question is...or maybe I'm just being pedantic.
I'd like books. Old books always have that smell.
Jewellery. Preferably silver.
Furniture. For the possible move.

there seemed to be a hint of slyness in your_voice 'well he's going to sleep on the couch so you can sleep in here.' in your bed. there really was nowhere else for me to sleep, but it seemed like a clever deception somehow, that you gave away my place on the couch. removing outer layers replaced with blankets, your whiskey breath practically tickling me, body heat, adrenaline. i grabbed your closest hand, pulled you in, your_lips burning holes in the back of my shirt, your_hands tentatively touching skin. he was five feet away on the couch. stiffled breath. i regrabbed your hand, brought it to my lips and gave it a kiss. like the kiss you place on a dying relative's cheek.
i entertained the passing thought of climbing on top of you when your sleep became evident. i realized i wasn't in love with you anymore. i held fast to my vow. i climbed out of bed because i couldn't ignore the pressing on my bladder any longer.
'hey what's up?'
'nothing. i have to pee so bad it hurts.' and so i climbed back in bed. he left shortly after; everything felt too warm. i could only think of how i wasn't in love with you anymore and i needed to work the next day, that i needed sleep. i climbed out of bed and took my rightful place on the couch.
