dB This is going to sound weird to you guys who have read about my school life, but I'm seriously thinking about going through three years of study to be a teacher.
I've been chewing over the idea for a few days now and the more I think about it, the more the idea intrigues me.
Aside from my shit spelling I might actually be ok at it.
What do you think?

unhinged i thought i was going to be a teacher but then i realized i loved music too much and public school wasn't the place for me. if you have the fortitude to put up the bureaucracy and think you could help kids then go for it. but with good ole dubya in office and the status of education in america i know i couldn't do it. someone needs to change the world. go for it dB. 020604

dB Unhinged I hear what you say. But I'm in New Zealand, things are a little different over here. Teacher shortage, high schools have too many pupils, and so the story goes.
I think maybe going for primary teaching (elementary to you guys?). I think that's where you have a chance to open minds and maybe teach them something about life. By high school people have already decided what side of the coin they are on.
Only a few land on the edge.
Which is a pity. Maybe I can help change that for a few people.
