maxwell thorne We had driven all morning, and she was so tired. I suggested taking a nap on my bed.

As she lay there, she looked up, pouted, and then gave that smile that said she wanted me there, near her.

I climbed in beside her, and draped my arm over her side. And as she buried her face into my shoulder, I could feel the warmth of her breath, and I swam in the pleasant heat from her body as it enhanced the faint aroma of the parfum she had dabbed along the base of her neck earlier that morning.

I brushed my finger tips lightly across the small of her back, teasing her fair, sensitive skin, and I felt her body move in a soft shiver. She follwed with a low moan that sent a warm vibration throughout my body.

I could tell that she was half asleep and moved my head downwards to kiss her temple. She nuzzled my sholder, and slid her feet over, so that they fit between mine.

For the time,
All I knew was here.
All I knew was her.

A quick twitch in her shoulders told me that she was fast asleep. As my mind drifted, and our breathing syncronized...

I haven't slept since.

a thimble in time Your shadow still hangs about the house.
And every so often I catch a glimpse of your silhouette.
It’s just a memory escaped from the heart.
I struggle mightily to bring it back.
But you touch me in the soft breeze,
and fill my chest with your being.
I struggle mightily not to exhale.
but I cannot do so
I’m sorry
