pete the canal is open in its entirety at last ( i think it happened yesterday to coincide with the start of winterlude ) though i can no longer skate to work along the canal, mostly because i'm between jobs and don't live near the head of the canal, though if i do eventually get a job in the market or downtown i can skate from school to work... i could even skate from school to the end and then walk to the archives to do my own work.. hmmm.. this might be a fun skate-filled month after all 070203
