and the divorce rate in america is somewher around 60%, traditional marages dont have too good of a track record right now, so why not let not so traditional marages have a chance to try and get it right.

They're chosing to focus on banning same sex marriages. They say it'll stop the spread of aids. Only the idiots would follow that reasoning.

It's people who are fucking everybody else that are spreading anything. If two people are married, most likely they'll only be boinking each other, so if either of them has anything, they'd keep it between the two of them.

Also, governments *make* money from people getting and being married from all the taxes and such. These people are going to live together anyway, why not make some money off it?
