Borealis Held frozen, a void, not daring to sing
We have become but a nameless beggar
Trapped, in cells not our own. Yet, lingering
At this threshold for but a moment longer
Fascinated by the pain, weary, yet
Fearful of its end, fearful of quick death
Timid of boundaries no longer set
Frightened of worlds suddenly lacking breadth
Innocence fled while she still had her time
Lost in shadow, space, time, wary of light
Show us a place where the sun would dare shine,
Where clear pools of wisdom won't give way to night
Where we, cleansed in unforgettable fire
Fling wide doors to our eyes and rich desires.
