references_to_nouns_not_everyone_knows
-{::EphemeralArcs::}- It has always been a private erk of mine(it perturbs me ok?) when people in art, writing, or every day conversation refer to movies, people, places, or other such things as a core (or at all) crutch to their message.
First, I am horrible with names, people, and places. (you know the light blue people and places questions on trivial pursuit? yeah, those are why i never win trivial pursuit. the entertainment and sports and leisure section doesn't help much either.).
Next time I find an example, I'll post it here, just to let everyone know how annoying I think they are. Because, no, I don't understand them, and I would consider it a 90% waist to learn about that subject. If your going to create something, make it universal enough so more than your circle of friends and ethnic group can understand. please?
of course, also understand that I never watch or read the news, the television is used only for a few movies every great once in awhile, when studying history i skip over the names and try instead to grasp the concepts, which I think are eternally more important, and I don't socialize too much.
but still, you can understand my pertubedness right? I'm a believer in knowledge that doesn't change.(i.e. not news or gossip, or even history, because even that has been known to change, and like i said i look for the concepts and skip the memorizing names part)
there. i feel a bit better having that said. now i wonder how many enemies i've made.

Photophobe in melbourne The first speaker at AGIdeas today :

English is not my primary laguage, so perchance I won't be so verbose or superfulous as most of these speakers. I have such a narrow lexicon to draw upon, so alas I lack the plethora of nouns you are used to.

He was a very strange and funny man.

blown cherry I have a bad habit of doing this, so you probably wouldn't like me very much.

Sometimes I use it as a test to filter out the people who are like me,
Somtimes I use it to exclude people who aren't
Sometimes I just use it because sometimes it's fun to talk in code :)

Dafremen I've always thought the word adze would be a cool noun to sneak casually into a conversation. Niggardly too, but I'm not sure how well that second one would go over and I wouldn't want folks getting the wrong impression of me...thinking that I make a habit of using obsolete turn-of-the-century adjectives or something ya know? 020425

photophobe I constantly want to use the word Pandemonium, but I hardly ever pull it off. If at all. 020428

You know that thingy?
The thingy that sits below that other thingy?
It does that thing when you switch it on.
And makes that weird noise like that other funny thing I heard the other day when I was at that big thing that whatsy was having.
