| unhinged | 'of course most of what we deal with day in and day out is not the most horrible situation. day in and day out we tend to do a lot of blame shifting. it's almost a natural reflex and we shouldn't feel bad about it...we have this natural tendency to want to shield and protect ourselves. whenever that feels threatened it's quite natural to want to deflect, to shift the blame out there. it almost seems counterintuitive to go 'ok what's my part in this?'' the thing is that 'my part' is the only part i have much power or influence over.' - fleet maull | 170521 |
